Indian Spiced Lamb in Yogurt Sauce
You've all played the Forever food game, where you pick one type of cuisine to eat for the rest of your life because you love it just that much. For the hubs that's Mexican...my man would eat chilaquiles, enchiladas and huevos rancheros every day and be completely satisfied until his dying day. And honestly, I could too...as a runner up. Without a doubt, my Forever food is (and always) will be Indian. Tender basmati, chewy naan, sweet lassi, flavorful masala, rich yogurt, spicy chilies....I could go on forever.

Roast Vegetable Gravy - a.k.a. The Last Gravy Recipe You'll Ever Need
For better or for worse, everyone has a signature dish for which they are known. Gourmands may be recognized for something spectacular such as tartare, artisan bread or decadent chocolates. Others are known for frozen pizza, refrigerated crescent rolls or the ever popular blue box mac & cheese. Be they on the high or low end of the spectrum, the hubs and I enjoy all of these food items on occasion. As for me....well, I'm not exactly sure of where I fall on this spectrum for I am known for a holiday condiment.

Lamb & Barley Stew w/ White Beans & Feta
Last week, we had our first snow of the year. Sure, it was a measly dusting that only lasted two days, but the hubs and I still made the most of it. Flames danced in the fireplace, the pups built snuggly dens in blankets on the couch and the scent of hot apple cider filled our entire apartment. When the weather gets cold, it's time to get cozy. And nothing says "cozy" like a hearty stew. Particularly if your stew is a rich, decadent concoction of lamb, goat cheese and rosemary. I mean, come on now.

Greek Lamb Pizza
Feta. Roasted red pepper. Oregano. Savory meat. Yogurt. An entire head of garlic. I eat at least something in this list on a daily basis, which is probably why I love Greek food. It can be from a street cart or a la carte, just as long as it is filled with the overwhelming flavors that leave my breath so pungent, Altoids turn back in fear. But in addition to its deliciousness, this cuisine is also very near and dear to the hubs and I for one other very important reason: it's what he made me for dinner the night he proposed. So every time we enjoy Greek food, it is with two cheshire-like smiles spread across our faces (in addition to a smear of yogurt). And this Greek Lamb Pizza may be our best interpretation yet.

Blackberry Lamb Mini Pizzas
I am a huge fan of homemade pizza. At home, the only limitations to what you can create are your imagination and refrigerator contents. There are no rules, no expectations and no additional fees for extra toppings. The only judge is your tummy and, in my home, that of the hubs. The possibilities of pizza are endless. I could go on forever listing potential sauces, meats, fruits, vegetables, herbs, nuts and so on and so fourth. And I'm not even mentioning the cheese.
With such a plethora of possibilities, pizza is the perfect foodie playmate. Not to mention, the perfect vessel to turn random bits of leftovers into something new, creative and tasty.
